Judith King Springer, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on May 3, 2016. She was born on March 29, 1942 in Harrisonburg, Louisiana. Judith is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ed; loving children, Lance Springer, Kelley and Christopher Owen and precious granddaughters, Madison, Mallory and Hollee Owen.
Judith graduated from Louisiana State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Secondary Education. She was a full-time housewife and mother until her children graduated from high school. She worked in the pharmaceutical research industry until retirement. In addition to her job as a loving “Gammie”, Judith served as a volunteer at Memorial Hermann Hospital – The Woodlands and CHI St. Luke’s Hospital – The Woodlands. Ed and she were able to travel to 18 different countries and 26 U.S. states together during his work career. They continued to enjoy travel, experiencing new adventures (snorkeling, parasailing, zip-lining, kayaking, and hiking) and became avid Disney Cruise fans after their retirement. Judith was always eager to share stories of their “adventures” with friends and family.
