Karen Ann DeStefano

Karen Ann DeStefano, 70, of Spring, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2026. Born on March 23, 1956, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Karen lived a life full of love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to the people around her.

Karen married the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" DeStefano Jr., and together they built a family that was the center of her world. She was a fierce defender of her family, the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone she loved, and often people she had only just met. Karen had a gift for giving great advice, solving problems with a calm and steady hand, and always, always putting others before herself. Her generosity knew no limits.

She spent her professional career as an administrative assistant at ExxonMobil, where her sharp problem-solving skills and generous spirit made her an invaluable colleague and friend. But if you asked Karen what she was most proud of, she would have pointed straight to her family without hesitation. When her children were younger, she poured herself into her community in ways both big and small. She was active in Girl Scouts, served on her neighborhood HOA board, supported the neighborhood swim team, and dedicated countless hours to band boosters. Volunteering was simply part of who she was.

At home, Karen could often be found in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, working on a crochet project, or surrounded by her beloved pets. More than anything, she loved being around her family and filling the room with laughter. If you knew Karen, you knew her laugh. It was contagious, and she used it often.

Karen is survived by her husband, Tony; her daughter, Christina "Chrissy" DeStefano Krebs; her son, Anthony DeStefano III; her mother, Lillian Thomas; her brothers, Michael Thomas and George Thomas; and her beloved granddaughter, Addyson "Addy" Krebs. She was preceded in death by her father, George Thomas.

Karen now rests peacefully in God's grace, her laughter echoing in the hearts of everyone she touched.

A memorial service will be held on August 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A reception will follow.
