

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David, her daughter Tiffany Ann and her son-in-law, Ken. Her brothers Greg, Reid and Jim and sisters Jami & Mary. She is survived by grandchildren Brady Cole and Karsen Lyne. She also leaves Uncle Bert & Aunt Dot Huebner as well as many nieces & nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Pascal and Ruth Baer Westmoreland of Bay City, Texas.
Kalyn graduated from Texas Women’s University with a BSRN. She worked for Methodist Hospital in Dallas as the ICU Charge Nurse for 2 years, then transitioned to a Nurse Practitioner, Internal Medicine for 15 years. After many years in the industry she retired from the field and became a certified Medical Assistant Instructor with Texas School of Business. Teaching was always her passion.
Voluntering was her passion, she volunteered at McCullough High School in the Library & Front Office and was very involved in the PTA. She was actively involved in a mother-daughter organization, National Charity League (NCL) and was recognized in the community several times for her contributions. She went on to be the National President of this great organization and spent many years volunteering and teaching others. She also volunteered her time as a member of the Cypress Woodlands Junior Forum, Plano Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross, Montgomery County Welcome Wagon, Ohio Scholarship Program & Miss America Scholarship Program – Chaperone & Advisor and was a member of many many more.
In 2005 she became a Master Gardener where she continued to volunteer in the gardens & greenhouse in Conroe. She became actively involved in the organization and taught several classes of Interns over the years. She was also a Certified Propagation Specialist. Member of The Bluebonnet Garden Club.
Kalyn loved to travel, as a member of the 100 Wonders of the World Travel Club she traveled to 73 of the 100 wonders of the world. Some of her favorite trips were Peru, South Africa, Russia, Egypt, Greece, Sweden, Luxembourg, Finland and every EU country.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Forest Park The Woodlands from 6:00-8:00 pm. The service will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at The Woodlands United Methodist Church followed by a graveside service at Forest Park The Woodlands.
