Sharon...I know this is a little late, but we just heard today about the passing of King. Please accept Sharon and my condolences for your, and Cody's loss. We are still at the same house as when you lived down the street in Ashford Village.

Joey and Petie are also married. Petie has a couple of the most precious daughters and we really enjoy them Joelle and Elise are 5 and 10. They live two miles from us and allow us to be part of their family. Joey is in Salt Lake City and has a son. We rarely see them.

Hope you are well, and again, we are so sorry for your loss.

The old Oiler boys had quite a trip down memory lane as we grieved Kings passing. I lost my mom and dad this past year and know the sting of death. Knowing King fom the Oiler days, I would guess he is in Heaven, sizing up the angles and looking for that one with a good arm and a calm demeanor. My sympathy to your family and blessed be Kings soul.

I wish I had been able to come to the funeral. I am sorry that he had to
suffer so long. My husband who died in 2008 was King's golf partner some
of the time in high school. Wayne was very fond of King and I was so pleased that he was able to come see Wayne before he died and came to his
funeral. King was a great man and athlete and friend. Love, Claryce Talbert

King was a great athlete, a gentleman, and a true friend. My memories of our time together as team mates on the 1956-1957 Rice football teams are very special to me.
God bless you, King.
All of your team mates miss you,
Raymond Chilton

I remember King as a grade school student--and friend of my late brother, Gene Davis, who was on the same high school team at Brazosport. Gene passed away in December 2008--and now King. My condolences to the family, he was a star in many ways...Pat Davis, San Antonio
