He was born March 4, 1960 in Pasadena, Texas. He grew up there and attended Sam Rayburn High School, where he graduated in 1978. He received his Associates Degree from San Jacinto Junior College and his Bachelors of Science from University of Houston Clear Lake. He received his Medical Degree from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas in 1988. He did a residency in Family Practice in Baytown, Texas then worked as an Emergency Room physician for 20 years after which he transitioned to Occupational Medicine establishing Westfield Urgent Care Clinic.
He is survived by his father, Sam, of Lynch, Nebraska, now residing in Pasadena, Texas, his mother, Doris, of Norfolk, Nebraska, now residing in Pasadena, Texas, his younger brother, Mark, of Pasadena, Texas, now residing in Sugarland, Texas, his niece, Cassidy, of Sugarland, Texas, and his nephew, Michael, of Sugarland, Texas.
The Edwards family will be receiving visitors on Tuesday, June 24th between 1:00pm and 2:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm.
