Wow, it’s been 13 years since you passed. I still think about you from time to time… it’s just crazy how life works sometimes. It really has you feeling like it’s not fair. Why do some people get to grow old  while others don’t? I guess it’s one of those things you start thinking about more as you get older. RIP Kristen - 13 years later and you still cross my mind. It was all so unexpected. But you’re an angel now. Forever young, forever 19. ❤️

I met kristen in a college course and we were friends from day one...she will always have a place in my heart and i am blessed to have shared smiles and laughs with her.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I haven't seen you or Kristen in awhile, but I remember seeing her many times in the past and she was such a sweet giry. May peace be with you and God keep you in his hands.

Kristen...we've known you since Glen Loch where you and our son became friends, and what ALWAYS stands out in our minds was your cheerful enthusiastic smile!!  You came running up and threw you arms around Taylor as we walked into Callaway Villas in College Station last summer.  You gave him a big ol hug and was so excited to see him.  That was a living example of the type of infectionous personality and love you had for others.  We are grateful we got to share a tidbit of your precious life.

Kristen was one of the happiest girls I knew.  She always had a smile on her face and brought happy positive thoughts to our Softball Program.  She was a very positvie influence on us all, she will be missed.

Kristen, you were such an incredible person. You made me laugh so much in highschool and seeing your smile always made me think positive. You have impacted so many people in this world, and you will continue to share your spirit. I'm so terribly sad for your loss, but I know your in heaven being such a beautiful angel. Rest in peace and one day we will reunite in God's kingdom. I love you.

Doreen,I am so hurt by the loss of Kristen and I know she was everything to you. I heard you say many times that Kristen was your best friend. I knew her  since she was three years old and saw her and met Jesse just recently. Kristen was a beautiful girl with a beautiful and warm heart. My newest Granddaughter Kristen,you know how much I love you and how happy I was for you and Jesse to get married and start your life together. You made Jesse happier than I have ever seen him and from all we talked about you felt the same. I wish I had been able to tell you what I am now telling everyone else, that you are the sweetest and most caring young person I have met in a very very long time. As I heard all the plans and steps you two had already made together I knew you both had put lots of thought in this and really meant all you said. I miss you so much already and will never forget  how special you are. I LOVE YOU KRISTEN you touched my life when I did not think there were still people like you!

I didn't know you at all, but my father Donald Pope just passed and I was only 11 years old but anyways I saw your picture and you were very pretty and I told one of the funeral directors that you looked really young and she said she was only 19 years old and was in a car accident and I just started crying. It was hard to let my dad go. He died of ALS. I can tell Kristen was very loved by family and friends and my thoughts and prayers are with your family and I know you have heard this probably thousands of times but just know Kristen is very happy in Heaven and she loves her family. Stay strong.

So bummed I'm out of town at this time. I really wish I could have been there for the services. RIP Kristen, you were known and loved by many. You will be seriously missed.

Doreen - My heart hurts for you.  I can't imagine what you are going through, but I do know that you had a beautiful and sweet daughter.  I only knew Kristen in her younger years, but she certainly has a special place in my heart.  I always remember you saying how you wanted to be her best friend, well it sounds like you accomplished that and then some.  If there is anything at all I can do for you and your family, please do not hesitate to call me.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

Kristen was such a wonderful person. When we played softball together, she was always so cheerful and kind to me even though I was the new girl on the team. It was such a joy to know her and have her touch my heart forever.

I have put together a balloon release for Friday June 22 in honor of her life as well as for strength and healing for Jesse Stoltman. It is open to anyone who would like to participate. It will be at 6 pm at The Woodlands College Park High School in the parking lot near the track. If you are unable to make it, I would be happy to release a balloon in your honor. I hope that everyone can make it.

Kristen will not be forgotten. Her joy and love of life will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. It was such an honor to know her and her wonderful smile.

To Kristen's Momma, Doreen - and to all of Kristen's extended family - and to Jesse and the Stoltman family - words can not describe the heartache I feel for all of you in the tragic loss of a most beautiful young lady.  Before I had met Kristen I heard of what a wonderful 'girl' she was and how much 'happiness' she brought to Jesse's Life.  The twinkle in his eye when he asked me to perform a cermony to bond their lives together, forever - just melted my heart.  I felt a special 'bond' with Jesse from the very first day I met him while he was inprocessing to our Command,   AND - I felt a 'bond' to the 'special girl' he spoke of - whom I would soon meet.  

It was a delight for me to experience the unconditional love and happiness that radiated between Kristen and Jesse.  They weren't concerned about how big or how expensive their wedding was - they just knew how deep their love was - and that this was their chosen perfect time to join their lives together.  And what an honor it was for me to be part of this moment.  

Kristen, from the very first moment I met you and your lovely friend as you arrived to meet Jesse and his friend for what was soon to be a most beautiful moment in your lives - 'your wedding' - 'I simply adored you'.  Your big brown eyes sparkled bright.  Your smile radiated.  And how beautiful you were in your pretty white dress.  Sharing your vows with you and your love, Jesse - touched my heart in a way that is beyond words.  Seeing those big aligator teardrops sit at the bottom of your pretty eyes tickled me so.  The two of you were genuinely meant to be together, as husband and wife.  

It was my honor to see the two of you begin your lives together - to share in such a beautiful moment - the very happiest moment of your lives.   Although we are not to ask 'why' God called you home at this time - we do.  In prayer - God will not forsake us.  The strength of your love and of God's love will wrap their arms around us all to see us through - and around Jesse to help him heal and to give him strength in his darkest hours.  I love you, Kristin.  You have touched my heart forever.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Kristen but, I shed tears as I read through the all of the letters identifiying what a positive impact that she made on so many of her classmates, friends, and family.  I personally don't believe that God causes tragedy, however I do believe that He uses it to grow goodness.  Have faith in a Grand reunion that may be sooner than we think. Until then, I hope you can move forward for Kristin so that her life would  continue to impact others.

It is still surreal to me that one of the sweetest, most genuinely sweet girls  I have ever met is gone. Kristen and I played softball together, had classes together, and were in Soccer Sweethearts together. When I first moved to CP and joined the softball team, she was one of the most welcoming people I encountered. I have so many fond memories of us at games, practices, etc. One thing that I will always remember about Kristen is her dedication. She was inspirational, and constantly motivated our entire team to push ourselves to the best of our ability. I last saw her in March, and she was as sweet and kind as ever. The night before she passed away I had a dream about her, and I clearly remember her giving me a big hug. In my mind, this was Kristen's way of saying goodbye, or better yet, see you later. I know that she is watching over all of us, and guarding her family and Jesse to the best of her ability. Her spirit and her love and support, and every great quality she had will live on in the memories we will forever keep in our hearts. Rest in peace sweet girl, and many prayers to Mrs. Ambriz and Jesse & family.

My heart aches for this husband and family.  We had just come up I-12 on the way back from Destin, Florida the very same night - probably just a few hours prior to this accident.  I saw it on the news the next morning (here in Humble/Houston) and it was pretty upsetting.  I pray for peace to fall upon this family.

Doreen I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet precious baby girl.  I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling - I remember when you and I talked about her at the crawfish boil last year and how your eyes shined with pride over her. Kristen was one of the sweetest girls I have known.  She was always thinking of others.  She was very special to our entire family.  She taught us everything we needed to know about College Station! These past few days since I was told about you passing away, I haven't stopped thinking about you, or Jesse. I have continued to ask the question why? Why now? Jesse, and you were so in love & and extremely happy together, and that is something that I was always & will forever be jealous of. You made him so happy,and that was something we all could clearly see. Unfortunately, you were only apart of our family for a short time, but I think on behalf of the whole Stoltman family/gang we considered you family for a long time before you both tied the knot. I remember when my mom & dad told me that yall ran off and got married on the beach, I thought it was so crazy, but romantic. And now I see all the pictures on facebook of you two at your little top secret, "Vegas", getaway, elopin' wedding, and I start to cry,and think of how sad I am that such a tragedy has struck our family, your family & Jesse. But today I have answered the question why? God has a plan, for us all, and we all wish this wasn't the plan for you, but God is here to comfort us through this hard time, and I know you are here watching over us all & being Jesse's special guardian angel as he recovers. And lastly, what I have really found comfort, hope, and joy in, is that you were truly happy before you passed away. You were with the man you loved, you were ready to start your lives together, and you truly lived your life to the fullest; you were unstoppable. You will forever be missed by me, my family, and all. We love you, and when the time comes, I have faith that I will see you again in heaven. Watch over us, and keep us safe.

I cannot express to you how much I miss you. I wish we had more time to become closer. But my memories of you will always be in my heart. You had the best outlook on life and always knew how to make a dark day turn out to be the brightest day. You could make anyone laugh by laughing yourself. You were one of the kindest souls I ever had the pleasure of meeting and I still cannot believe that you are gone. It's a tough pill to swallow because you had such a long and beautiful life ahead of you. But God has a plan for everyone, and I think his plan now is for you to be everyone's angel. The day you added me on facebook I was like, "Wow I haven't talked to her since 6th grade! I wonder how she's doing." I saw your wedding photos with Jesse and you couldn't look more happy. I know we lost touch over the years since middle school and I am sorry for not reaching out sooner. Kristen was a very sweet and loving person. She was always so kind to me on the softball field when I was the new girl. She was always patient and kind when I did not understand something and was a great asset to our team. I know she is in a better place, but she will certainly be sincerely missed.

My sweet girl. I'm so blessed that we met as roommates. You were so much fun to be around. I loved that you and I could sing songs to Glee randomly, and you made us all laugh by running and jumping onto my bed from the hallway. I love you, hun. You mean so much more to me than I ever had the chance to express, and I'm so sorry for losing touch after I moved back home. I'm so happy you and Jesse had your time together, and that you were able to be his wife. I know that's something that he'll cherish forever. We all love and miss you so much. Doreen, I know you and I don't know each other quite well, but your daughter was the most radiant young lady I have ever met. Thank you for raising such a lovely daughter. Having met Kristen on June 4 with her Aunt Judy, was a pleasure.  Kristen seemed to be so radiant when she saw her Aunt. We know not the reason this beautiful young lady was taken from the arms or her loving family.  She is in the arms of our God now.  My prayers for the families to be able to withstand the sorrow and be comforted to know that God loves us, even when it is hard for us to love God and question His reasons. My husband and I were in the traffic behind the wreck, we were devasated to hear of this young girl who lost her life. My sister was killed in a car wreck 19 years ago ,and it all came back to me.
