Leah Laverne Riggs, age 54, of Spring, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Leah was born August 3, 1967 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her husband Rick Riggs, her son Nolan Riggs and wife Taylor and daughter Madeline Riggs, her sister Janet Tillery and husband Jeff along with their children Austin and Colby Tillery as well as loving uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her Father, Lewie Fagg Jr. and mother, Mae Fagg along with grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Leah was an exceptional wife and mother and cared deeply for her family and friends. She married her high school sweetheart, Rick Riggs on July 5, 1986. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together, which included many trips around the country. She was a licensed massage therapist who after the birth of her children, devoted her time to raising them and was delighted to be a central figure in their lives. This dedication included many baseball, softball and volleyball trips where Leah was always proud of her children's accomplishments and enjoyed cheering them on throughout the years.
She was a devoted member of Founders Baptist Church in Spring,TX for many years. Leah loved spending time in the kitchen and enjoyed preparing food for those she loved. She is best known for baking amazing pies; her pecan pie being coveted by many.
A visitation for Leah will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park-The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Founders Baptist Church, 24724 Aldine Westfield Rd., Spring, TX 77373. A committal service will occur Friday, November 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
