

Lena Belle Arivett, age 86, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2020. Lena was born September 8, 1933 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Lena is the daughter of Sam and Nancy San Angelo and grew up on a share-croppers farm on Dixie Garden Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Lena's grandparents traveled from Sicily, Italy to reside in Powhatan, Louisiana in 1890. Lena (who like to be called Lynn) graduated from Byrd High School, Shreveport, Louisiana in 1950.
Lynn met the love of her life in 1951 and was married to Jack Bradley Arivett in 1952. Jack and Lynn gave birth to their daughter Sherri Lynn, in 1957. Lynn and Jack resided on Wasson Road, Shreveport, Louisiana for over 40 years.
After Jack retired from the US Air Force in 1970, they created AeroJet Industrial where Lynn and Jack were pioneers of the mobile power wash and water blasting industry. Lynn's keen business practices, vision for the future, and unwavering support of Jack lead them to the top of their industry.
Lynn and Jack mentored many entrepreneurs entering into their industry with fabrication of innovative equipment and best business practices. They shared this with each new start up business, guaranteeing their success. Jack and Lynn later expanded their market to include environmental services, vapor degreasing, and wet sandblasting, creating an extremely successful self-made business.
Lynn was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport, Louisiana for over 70 years. The love of her church, her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and her love and dedication to her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, Jerry, was evident in all aspects of her life. Lynn loved red roses, and her rose garden was one of her favorite sights to share. Lynn was a servant of love- you never left Lynn's house hungry or without a gift basket of snacks. She made sure everyone else was well taken care of before she partook. Lynn loved to laugh, and after the fact, could see the funny side of any situation. She and Jack moved to the Woodlands, TX in January of 2020.
Lena is survived by: Husband- Jack Bradley Arivett, Daughter- Sherri Lynn Arivett Gates, (Son-in-Law, Jerry Wayne Gates), Grandsons- Dr. Kevin Wayne Gates and Ryan Thomas Gates, (Grand daughters-in-law, Erin Karin Gates and Kelly Siebert Gates), Great Grandsons- Benjamin Paul Gates and Titus William Gates, Nephew- Michael Ray San Angelo, and Niece- Debra Lynn San Angelo.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation in Lena B. Arivett's name.
Visitation: Saturday June 20th at 1:00pm, grave-side service at 2:00pm: Centuries Memorial, Shreveport, Louisiana.
