Carolyn I am so sorry to hear of Leon's passing.  Please accept my condolences.  I just remembered a poem that a friend sent me when my wife died last year.  Thought it may be of some comfort.

I was very sadden to hear the passing of my friend and patient Leon Denina. We had a special friendship. I always enjoyed seeing Leon and helping him to hear the best I could. We would sit and talk awhile every time he came into my office. I meet him in 2001 and it was my privilege knowing him. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Leon. I have not seen Leon in probably 55 year or more.  Leon and I took piano lessons together and he was always so much fun.  We would laugh through the entire lesson.  I guess neither of us learned to play the piano  very well but we always had a great time.  I will always remember his great smile and warmth even as a kid. My sincere sympathy to his entire family.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Leon.  We visited each other at the Poggioreale Reunions.  We were able to catch up on our childhood, where we spent time with his grandmother, Callie. I always enjoyed going to the lake to visit you guys. Leon was always eager to show me his latest re-loading equipment. I can still hear that tumbler that he put his brass in to be polished. Carolyn, I can't believe it was 44 years ago just a few weeks ago that you and Leon stood up with Paul and me in our wedding!  You both made that day very special for both of us and have been such dear friends for more years that we can count.  Time flies when you're having fun!  When you put Leon and Paul together there was always fun to be had, and sometimes a bit of trouble, but they loved each other like brothers.   And Carolyn, you are like a sister to me, too.  Just know that we are always here for you no matter what!

Leon will be sorely missed.  One might shoot poorly, but you could never have a bad day shooting with Leon.  His humor and good-nature made it impossible.

Carolyn, Dave and I are so sorry for your loss. Leon was quite a guy and we will always remember our many good times together. You both are the topic of conversation many times as we had so many fond and funny memories of our times together. We will never have neighbors as good as y'all.
