Louisa A. Gonzales

Louisa was born on June 21, 1951 to Santos Silos Hernandez and Matilde Trevino Hernandez in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Furr High School in Houston, where she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Ernest Gonzales. They married on April 24, 1971. They welcomed their daughter, Kelli, in 1973, followed quickly by their first son, Ernie, in 1974. In 1980, they welcomed their second son, Eric, and moved to the west side of Houston to raise their family.

Louisa held many roles outside the home, working in data analytics, payroll, and school district transportation. However, her true passion was always showing love and support for her family. Louisa rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the people she loved – from her sons’ football and baseball games and her daughter’s drill team performances to her grandchildren’s music concerts and theater shows. Throughout her husband’s baseball coaching career, she could, more often than not, be found in the stands, attentively scoring the games.

Louisa loved holidays. Over the years, she curated an elaborate collection of festive holiday décor for all seasons and looked forward to transforming her home for the next family gathering. She took great care to make every holiday memorable for her grandchildren, and they loved looking at her decorations year after year to find the ones they knew had been carefully selected with each of them in mind.

Louisa is preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Matilde Hernandez; her sister, Theresa Garcia; and her brother, Santos Hernandez. Her memory is cherished by her husband, Ernest Gonzales; her daughter, Kelli Bradley (Alan); her sons, Ernie Gonzales (Jennifer) and Eric Gonzales (Angela); her grandchildren, Julianne Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Harlow Bradley, and Olivia Gonzales; brothers, David Hernandez and Robert Hernandez; nieces, nephews, and other family members; and dear friends.

Funeral events will take place at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery. A visitation will be held on February 17, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service is scheduled for February 18, 2026 at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am. At the conclusion of the graveside service, a catered reception will be held from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.

Active pallbearers will be Ernie Gonzales, Eric Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Robert Hernandez, David Hernández, and John Garcia.
