

She was born June 2, 1930, in Brussels, Belgium, to the late Gaston and Fanny Gaudy. They immigrated to the United States on the SS America out of Le Havre, France on March 31,1949 to New York. Lucienne, her parents, and older sister (Jeannette), traveled by train to San Francisco, California. She married Joseph C. Martin, and they enjoyed many adventures until his death in 1980.
She was devoted to her family, stepson and daughter-in-law, Paul & Judith Martin, grandchildren, Stacey Kirkpatrick (Jimmy), Christina Burris Benton (Ken) and Matthew Burris (Keri), great grandchildren; Kaitlyn Markos (Alex), Logan Kirkpatrick, Quillan and Caven Burris, Harry and Rowan Benton.
She loved fashion and owned a boutique in California. Her father had crafted shoes and owned a shoe factory in Belgium. She always had a love for stylish shoes and fashion.
She moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 2001 to be near her stepson, Paul J. Martin, and family. She loved time with family and friends. She was active in entertaining, gardening, crafts, playing dominos, and loving her animals especially her dogs. She volunteered at the Assistance League of Montgomery County, Texas. She received The President’s Volunteer Service Award. She was a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Texas.
