Maria was born to parents, San Juana Puente Lopez and Oscar Rodriguez Guerra on April 15th, 1950 in Monterrey, Mexico. She married Francisco Lopez in 1972 and enjoyed 33 year of marriage.
Maria was known for her tender heart and love of family. One of the ways she showered family and friends with love was with her cooking. She loved to cook her authentic Monterrey style Mexican dishes. She proudly became a U.S. Citizen later in life - something that she was always grateful and proud of. Maria also knew the importance of hard work; both her and her husband instilled that to her family.
As she got older, she developed and grew a close-knit group of friends within her Humble Seniors group, where she would enjoy luncheons, trips to the casino, bingo, and being involved with the community of Humble. Like any grandparent, her love for her grandchildren was endless and she always asked about them.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Lopez; her parents, San Juana and Oscar; her sisters; Patti and Esthela, and her brothers; Oscar and Pepe.
Maria is survived by her four siblings, Mario Alberto Rodriguez, Olga Rodriguez, Rosalva Rodriguez, and Juana Maria Rodriguez Puente; her three children, Miguel Lopez, Myrthala Law, and her husband Shayne, and Frances Johnson, and her husband Keith. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Frank, Kristina, Kayla, Sidney, and Baylee; three great grandchildren, Kaylin, Caroline, and Charlie, and a host of other loving family members and friends.
