Marian Annette (Foster) Lewis was born August 23, 1936 in Clarkdale, Cobb County, Georgia and passed away May 29, 2020 in the Houston Methodist - The Woodlands Hospital. She was 83 years old and a 24-year resident of The Woodlands, Texas.
Marian attended Clark Howell Elementary School, Henry W. Grady High School and Oglethorpe University, all in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked as a reservationist for Eastern Airlines while her future husband attended Georgia Institute of Technology. After receiving his doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Marian and Turner moved to Texas in 1976 where she devoted her life full time to raising their family.
Marian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to the many who knew her. She was active in the PTA and a volunteer in her son's elementary school library. Marian was an avid movie buff and could name many of the actors from older black and white movies. She was a strong woman and a 45 year breast cancer survivor.
During the 59 years of their marriage Marian was able to travel with her husband when his duties took him to England, Wales, France, Germany and the Far East. Her proudest accomplishments were her two sons and the outstanding adults they became.
The daughter of John Clay Foster, Jr. and Ethel Beautell (McAllister) Foster, she is survived by her husband, Dr. C. Turner Lewis, Jr. and their two sons: Dr. C. Turner Lewis, III, MD, his wife Bianca and their son Huntleigh; and David Andrew Lewis, his wife Shauna and their sons Greyson and Zack.
She was interred at a private family service at the Forest Park - The Woodlands Cemetery on June 3, 2020.
