

Marie Emma Behrle, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at her home. Born December 23, 1936 in Manhattan, New York to William Sroka and Frieda (Thormann) Ruf, both deceased, and stepfather, Emil Ruf, deceased. She was a resident of Grogan’s Point, The Woodlands, TX. Truly a 50-year love affair with Pierre Andre Behrle (deceased)Married in DeRidder, Louisiana at Redeemer Lutheran Church, by the Reverend Fred F. Gensier. Baptized in the Ev. Lutheran Klosterkirche, Braunschweig-Riddagshousen, Germany. Confirmed St John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Glendale, New York.
Marie served her church in many capacities, in various cities, and states, she served last at Spirit of Joy Lutheran, The Woodlands, TX.
Marie grew up in Braunschweig, Germany and returned to the United States after World War II. She lived and attended school at Woody Crest in the Bronx, where she developed life-long friendships.
Over the years Marie wore many hats. Vice President and CFO of Alto Marketing, Inc., of Plano, TX, bringing the product WD-40 to market. She was an honest and dedicated woman, a sunny disposition, good character and determination, her word was her bond.
Survivors are her children, daughter Dolly Marie Behrle Robinson Schachter, married to Neil Robinson (deceased) and Michael Schachter (deceased) Son, Michael Walter Behrle. She loved her grandchildren: Michelle Lynn (Behrle) LeBlanc and husband Jeff, Kayla Patrice Behrle, and their mother Bonnie Baker Behrle. William Andrew (Drew) Robinson and wife Angela (Cordell) Robinson, Benjamin Neil Robinson. Candace Marie Behrle, Kristen Rose Behrle and Michael Walter Behrle, and their mother Melissa Jordan Behrle. Great grandchildren: Wyatt Pierre LeBlanc and Sawyer Jeffrey LeBlanc. William Cordell Robinson and Walker Cayson Robinson. Samuel Neil Robinson and Charlee Jade Robinson.
She leaves two brothers, George Sroka (deceased) and Emil and wife Nancy Ruf of West Babylon, NY. Sister-in-law, Joan Behrle of Raleigh, NC. A myriad of nieces and nephews and dear friendships developed over the years. Affectionately known as Mom, Mum, Aunt Marie and Mum Mum.
Mum, was so proud of her “First Responders,” Drew, Kayla and Jeff.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations are made in her name to, The 100 Club, MD Anderson Cancer Center, St Jude’s Hospital, or Texas Children’s Hospital, Marie’s favorite charities that she has supported over the years, In memory of Marie Behrle.
There will be a private committal of her ashes for the family, officiated by Reverend Robert M. Louis.
