Marie was a follower of Jesus who devoted her life to caring selflessly for others, and any who knew her called her "Mom." She gave to many charities including the National Shrine of St. Jude and the Claretian Missionaries, and she attended St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball. Marie's passions were her family, cooking, gardening and sewing.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Joseph Grygor and Veronica Grygor and her husband Nicholas Irvin Cross. She is survived by her brother Paul Grygor and sister-in-law Barbara of Whitecastle, LA; daughter Kelle Cross of Eureka Springs, AK; daughter Valerie and son-in-law Geoffrey of Parker, CO; son Ryan Cross of Austin, TX and grandchildren Hailey Maduzia, Peyton Maduzia and David Bonetati. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Neil Cross of Houston, TX and Tony Vess of Dallas, TX well as sisters-in-law Nelda Fritz of Atlanta, GA; Nona Johnson of Amarillo, TX and Nevelle Vess of Dallas, TX.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1111 Cherry St, Tomball, TX at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 with visitation preceding from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, 1800 I-45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Family and friends are welcomed to a reception immediately afterwards.
