

She was born in Dallas, TX but moved at a young age to the San Diego area, where she graduated from high school, and later San Diego State University, becoming a Registered Nurse. Later in life, she moved to Marshall, TX, continuing her nursing career and becoming a Nurse Practitioner
Selfless, when her dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she moved back to San Diego to care for him full time. She would return to Texas to be near her children and grandchildren. Martha loved people, and always put their needs ahead of her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Norene; former husband, Charles Freeman; and sister, Patricia Natividad.
She is survived by her children, Todd Freeman (Kim) of Birmingham, AL; Mark Freeman of Rowlett, TX and Charles Freeman (Estelle) of Orange City, IA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Aaron Freeman, Hannah Wielenga, Kayla Freeman, Lauren Freeman, Emily Freeman, Carson Freeman, and Cole Freeman. She is also survived by her sister, Paula Emmert of San Diego and her brother, Tad Grace of Vero Beach, FL. She is also survived by her husband Robert O’Brien.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association
A memorial service for Martha will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Burial will take place at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary – Bonita, CA
