Mary Margaret Pope died unexpectedly on Monday March 21, 2011, and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was born in Colorado City, Texas on June 29, 1925 and moved to Houston, Texas with her family in 1958. She is survived by her husband William B. Pope, daughters: Rebecca (Becky) Pope, Elizabeth Anne (Betty Anne) Wicker and husband, Dr. R. Dale, and Valerie Lynn Kennedy and husband, Gary. Margaret has 6 grandchildren: Michael (fiancée, Sarah Britton), Matthew (wife, Lacie), Marshall Wicker; Nathan, Shelby and Kendall Kennedy, along with four nieces and one nephew. Margaret was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Visitation and viewing will be held at Forest Park –The Woodlands at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday March 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church at 3:00 PM Saturday March 26, 2011, with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to either the Gynecological Cancer Foundation or to Crossroads Baptist Church.
