He is survived by his wife Linda of 50 years and his sons Jon Richard (Fort Collins, Colorado) and Michael Scott, wife Jammie (The Woodlands, Texas), granddaughters Allyson (Boulder, Colorado), Megan (The Woodlands, Texas), Miranda (Austin, Texas) and Karen Wallace (Boulder, Colorado).
Michael was a graduate of Florida State University BA and Phillips University MA. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He was a 25 year Air Force and Vietnam War Veteran, Florida State Booster and fan. He loved the family lake cabin in New York and was an avid reader and collector of History Books.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society or MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
