Mindy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. If you were ever around Michael and Mindy you would have noticed that their marriage was an exceptional marriage. The love they had for each other was seen by all around them. There was never any harshness of any kind with only love and respect resounding. Together, they were self-employed partners with their companies, Gemstone Homes and Allied Roofing. Her love for her children was unconditional in every way. She adored them and they adored her. Knowing her lifeblood and her zest for life will live on through them will bring comfort to all who know them. They will be carrying her spark for life, her ability to help others, her kindness and her love that she so freely gave to everyone.
As a daughter and a sister, she was a very dutiful blessing to their lives. She had so much love, compassion, respect and understanding for them at all times. If there was a need, she was there for them always. She stood by them through thick and thin, through the hard times and the joyous times. Mindy devoted her life to her brother Matt. Since they were children and up until recently when she went in the hospital, Mindy has always taken care of Matt and has kept him under her wings because of his special needs. She fought for him and was his voice and provided for him so that he would have a decent life. She started a foundation for him and for others who were mentally challenged and disabled, called The Dream Builder Foundation. Mindy was truly a loving sister.
Mindy had numerous relatives and loved them all. Her in laws didn’t even consider her as an in law but a daughter and sister. If anyone had asked for help in any way, she was there for them. She especially had a knack of solving problems and creating ideas and she constantly put others before herself.
Mindy never met a stranger. The friends she had met along the way are still her friends today. She had an amazing, caring, loving, strong and courageous heart for all of them. And yes, they would tell you that she also had a hilariously funny side too. The children of Mindy’s friends and even her own children’s friends, all had a special place in their hearts for Mindy. And Mindy for them. Mindy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a very deep, positive and personal way. She lived life to the fullest through the smallest of pleasures and dreams to however large she could make them.
Mindy will be greatly missed as we continue to journey through our lives. We will take with us, as she would want us to, her legacy of love, strength and kindness to all.
The family would like to thank all the relatives of Mindy and Michael, their beautiful and thoughtful friends, caring neighbors, the staff, families and children of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and School, all who have been there for them during this time. We would also like to thank the hundreds and hundreds of people who have been praying for her. In amazement we saw people of all ages, all denominations, both strangers and friends who have been lifting this family up before God daily including people all over the United State and even in Israel and other countries. We so greatly appreciate and thank each and every person who has eased our sorrow.
The family will be receiving friends to celebrate her life on Thursday, February 8th at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery from 6pm to 9pm. There will be a rosary at 7pm with visitation, reminiscing, grieving, supporting one another and sharing. A celebration of Mass will be held on Friday, Feb 9th at 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
