She lived her life with joy, love, and boundless optimism. An accomplished athlete, she medaled in Gymnastics at the 1987 International Special Olympics and at the 2000 World Winter Games in Ice Skating. Nicole made lifelong friendships over years of competitions in swimming, ice skating, tennis, bowling, basketball, and track.
Defying expectations throughout her life, among her proudest accomplishments were the personal connections she made with so many Smith co-workers over her 23 year career as an office assistant.
A people person if there ever was one, Nicole's personality lit up at any opportunity to engage with others. Her enthusiasm and eagerness to help was inspirational and her unconditional love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Nicole is survived by her parents, Robert A. and Judith A. Embry, as well as siblings Suzanne M. White, Robert B. Embry, and Jennifer R. Russell.
