Pat was born on April 6, 1942, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and Martha Huczko. She graduated from Ambridge High School and later earned her nursing degree from Sewickley Valley Hospital of Nursing. Pat was a loving mother to her three children and treasured every opportunity to support them, spending countless hours at baseball games and track meets and cheering them on in all their endeavors.
Pat enjoyed a dedicated nursing career at Riverside Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she specialized in emergency and operating room services and later served as Director of the Operating Room until her retirement in 1998.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Miller, who passed away in 2014; her parents, Martha and Stanley Huczko; her brother, Dan Huczko, who passed away in 2020; her cherished dog, Missy, who passed away in 2024; and her son-in-law, Leonel Lagunes, who passed away in 2025.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Kristen Lagunes of Keller, Texas; her sons, David Miller (Andrea) and Michael Miller (Kristen), both of The Woodlands, Texas; her six cherished granddaughters, Mandy, Avery, Baylie, Meadow, Mia, and Kenzie; her beloved sister, Mary Gutierrez of Monaca, Pennsylvania; and six wonderful nieces and their families.
In retirement, Pat embraced life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and faith. She became a Master Gardener, enjoyed painting, devoted herself to Bible study, and was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pat and her beloved dog, Missy, enjoyed life in a wonderful community in Conroe, where she formed many lasting friendships with her neighbors.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, strong faith, and unwavering love for her family. Her life touched many friends, neighbors, and loved ones, leaving a lasting legacy of service, strength, and love. A Committal Service will be held on June 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
