Pietro “Pete” Nicosia was born on December 12, 1942 in Villa Rosa, Sicily. He was the youngest of five brothers and one sister. Our loving Husband, beautiful Pap, and Nonno passed away at 78 years of age on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
He immigrated to the states with his wife and daughter and nothing in his pockets but big dreams, he was a very driven man who strived for a better life for himself and his family. A man of many talents, he was a great chef who owned his own restaurant’s and his tile and masonry business.
His passion and one of his greatest ways of showing his love was through cooking, always delicious; he loved eating food just as much as cooking it and had a hardcore sweet tooth. But besides food he was also a master mason who created beautiful work with his hands and his innovative mind. He was a hard-working and honest man who would sacrifice the pleasures of comfort for his family, and he never complained even with the pain in his back.
He loved to entertain for all his family and friends, always singing, belting out random tunes. We never got bored of listening to all his stories from when he was young and always cracking jokes. He had a welcoming smile and a contagious personality that could make a friend with anyone at any time. He was a good listener who always had great advice and had a positive outlook on life. He took pride in not only everything he did but in his family as well.
Pete is survived by his wife of 53 years, Tina; his three children, Maria Catena, Angelina and Michele Pietro; his grandchildren Anthony, Alexis, Kassandra, Joseph Ivan, and Delilah Ann Marie; and his great-grand child Ezekiel. His two Son-in-laws Joaquin, Tino and his grandson-in-law Brandon. His dog Rocky, and his grand-dogs Maximo and Ronni. He was a kind and loyal man dedicated to his family and friends who always had a generous heart, he gave and accepted love the way that each person wanted to be loved.
Cent’Anni,
“Chu”, Pap, Nonno!
