

Richard was born on June 3, 1946 in Pasay City, Philippines. He was one of six children with siblings Lenny, Pio, Vivianne, Jun Boy, and Grace. He graduated from Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila, Philippines, and continued his education at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Commerce. Richard went on to work in accounting for Philippine Airlines and La Villa Taxco.
On August 21, 1978, Richard married the love of his life, Anita Llamado. Together they had four children Joemel, Richard, Annarica, and Philip in a home filled with love and laughter. His dedication to his family and the values he instilled created a lasting legacy. His children and grandchildren carry his love, wisdom, and example with them.
An avid sports enthusiast, Richard enjoyed all sports, but he was especially passionate about basketball. He started out as a Lakers' fan but later converted to Houston Rockets fandom.
RIchard is survived by his children Joemel Llamado, his wife Rhoda, and their three sons Rylan, Jaeden and Jarren; Richard Acayan, his wife Aileen and their children Cassy and Reece; Annarica Lara, her husband Clark and Richard's favorite Granddog Otto; and Philip Acayan, his wife Maegan and their children Preston, Logan, Bella and Brayden. He is also survived by siblings Lenny, Pio, Vivianne, and Grace.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. The service is scheduled for August 12, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
