Richard Bean

RICHARD ALLEN BEAN, 71, of Houston, passed away April 29, 2010. Richard was born December 5, 1938 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Marion Hollis and Helen Louise Mears Bean.Richard worked as a contractor in the construction industry his whole life. He worked for years with Farrell Construction and later with his Brother, Buddy, at Bean Construction. He and his family lived in various places throughout the south before settling in the Houston area in the early seventies. He enjoyed baseball, ice cream, growing tomatoes, and the gulf coast, but most of all he loved taking trips and having fun with his many good friends.He is survived by his two daughters Sharron Ashley Bean Thornton of Waco, Texas and Robin Carlysle Bean Murray of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Benjamin Kirk Murray, Austin Allen Murray, and Megan Carlysle Murray; his brother Wayne "Buddy" Bean of Sugarland, Texas; and his sister Marion Louise Bean Armstrong of Dime Box, Texas.A memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be held May 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands.
