Rick Sanders

George Richard “Rick” Sanders, 72, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on February 16, 1953, in Houston, Texas, Rick was the son of W.C. and Pauline Sanders. He graduated from North Shore Senior High School in Houston, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Brenda Taylor. High school sweethearts, Rick and Brenda shared a devoted marriage that spanned more than 53 years—a testament to their enduring bond and deep affection for one another.

Rick dedicated more than four decades of his life to serving his community as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Baytown, Texas. His commitment to his work reflected his dependable nature and strong work ethic. Whether braving the Texas heat or delivering mail through stormy weather, Rick took pride in doing his job well and with integrity.

Rick was known for his knack for fixing things around the house.

From leaky faucets to squeaky doors, he could always be found with a tool in hand and a solution in mind. His ability to repair just about anything became a hallmark of his personality—practical, resourceful, and always willing to lend a hand and his time to anyone in need.

Family was at the heart of everything Rick did. He cherished time spent with Brenda and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents W.C. and Pauline Sanders; in-laws William C. and Drew Taylor; son Lance Sanders; and brother Jerry Sanders.

He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Sanders; son Chris (Valorie) Sanders; grandchildren Dustin Sanders, Blake Sanders, Hailey Sanders, Maci Hollier, Cambelle Sanders, Landon Hollier, and Elli Sanders; great-grandchildren Paisley, Hadley, Lance, and Lainey; sister Paula (Bruce) Norris; aunt Patsy Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Those who knew Rick will remember him for his deep commitment to family and his quick wit and sense of humor that could light up any room. His laughter brought joy to countless gatherings and left lasting memories for all who were fortunate enough to share in them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A reception in Rick's honor will follow the service.
