
Bob was born on March 24, 1946 at Morristown Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. He was the oldest, and only son, of Dorothy and Robert Michael Hook Sr. Bob lived in Scotch Plains, New Jersey until he graduated from Scotch Plains Fanwood High School in 1964, and joined the U.S. Air Force in September that same year. He served for four years, two of which he was stationed in the Philippines, serving as loadmaster during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he began working for Piedmont Airlines in Newport News, Virginia. In 1984 Bob and his family moved to Spring, Texas where he worked for U.S. Airways until he retired.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Pat Glaydura & husband Andy, Sue Ulaky & husband Jim; his sons, Thomas Boyd, and Robert M. Hook III & wife Jill; nieces, Chrissy Dibella & husband Michael, and Kimberly Ulaky; nephews, Andrew Glaydura & wife Jenn, and Jimmy Ulaky; his grandchildren, that he loved so much, Lacy Crowell & husband Jonathan, Mary Elizabeth Hook, and Jack Hook; his great-nephews Dominick Dibella, Michael Dibella, and A.J. Glaydura. He is also survived by his loving, lifelong friend, the mother of his children, Mary Esther Hook.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Hook Sr, son Gene Boyd, and all the other Hook angels.
He impacted everyone he met with his fun personality and his caring heart. Robert Hook will be sorely missed, and forever loved by many.
