At age 2, the family moved back to Arbroath, Scotland, where he nurtured a strong work ethic at a very young age. Friends and relatives might recall him reminiscing about helping to deliver fresh milk and cuts of meat to customers nearby. Heeding his father’s advice and encouragement took him to faraway places, instead. Ron worked his way up to Senior Master Sergeant in the US Air force, where he served for 20 years and later retired. This impressive career at the USAF was followed by an equally impressive career in the private sector at Brown & Root, Todd Shipyard, Metro, and the Small Business Administration , during which time, he also wrote the Procurement course curriculum for the University of Houston.
He also worked for ARAMCO and Caudill Rowlett Scott as project Procurement Manager in Saudi Arabia building a race track. Upon completion, he accepted the King of Saudi Arabia’s offer to be the Royal hospital administrator.
Ever the project manager, Ron enjoyed gardening, construction and refurbishing furniture as his hobbies.
Ron was preceded in death by Ethel "Pat" Wilson, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage and a life full of global adventures.
Ron is survived by his second wife of 10 years Pamela. His daughters Susan and her husband Michael Kiefer; Paulette and husband Charlie Carson; Roni and husband William Wadewitz; Patti and husband Keith Ressler; Step-daughters Ada and husband Jacob Carlson; Hazel Pechon and Colt Minneci. Grandchildren Sarah and Joseph Kiefer; David Corder married to Stephanie, Caleb Carson, Kayla and Connor Ressler; Destiny, Stephanie, and Emily Wadewitz; Courtney Belostrino, Adrielle and Liam Carlson and Stefania Minneci; great grandchild Micah Corder, and sisters-in- law Nancy and Jeanette Wilson of Arbroath, Scotland.
A facebook live stream for Ronald will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A burial will occur at Forest Park -The Woodlands Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
