Rosalind K. Helgerson, 73, of Spring, TX went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2011. She was born December 2, 1937 in Lodi, Wisconsin to the late Alois and Linda Karls. Rosalind is also preceded in death by her brothers Mike and Jim and sister Adelle. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Roger Helgerson; children Eric Helgerson, Kim Bowden and husband John, Kay Menk and husband Jeff, Karen Satterfield and husband Robert, Kathy Lowry and Ronald, Todd Helgerson and wife Michelle, Kelly Hunt and husband Martin; sisters Toni, Helen and Eva; brother Roland “Punk”; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; along with numerous other relatives and friends that will deeply miss her.
Rosalind was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church where she was very active in the women’s auxiliary and the church bazaars. She was a former teacher of Faith Formation at Sts. Simon and Jude and member of Lovelighters, a senior citizens club. Rosalind loved taking care of her grandchildren, gardening, crafts and playing bingo and was an avid John Wayne fan.
A rosary with memorial service to follow is planned for 6:30pm, Thursday, May 12th in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, TX. A Funeral Mass with reception to follow is planned for 10:00am next Friday, May 13th @ Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77381. A Graveside service will follow reception at 1:00pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
