Sally Jane MacRae

Sally was born in England but was raised and went to school in Kenya where her father was Port Captain in Mombasa. On his retirement in 1960 she returned with her parents to England where 2 years of English weather convinced her to look for a job in warmer climes. She took a secretarial job in Bahrain where she met Colin in 1963, they were married in 1965 and there followed 15 years of globetrotting with his job until they settled in The Woodlands in 1980 where they have resided since. A committed member of the Catholic Church, Sally was among the earliest parishioners at St. Simon and Jude and was very active in tennis, quilting, playing bridge and caring for her three children.

Sally was predeceased by her daughter Helen who suffered from the same affliction and is survived by her loving husband Colin, elder son Andrew, his wife Joanne and grandchildren Kate, Reece and Ryan and younger son Duncan, his wife Asa and grandchildren Avery and Owen and by her loving brother Nick and his extended family.

The funeral service will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands on Monday October 10th at 10.00am.
