Forever 18, Savanna Rae Corrigan will always be remembered as a radiant soul whose light touched everyone she met. Born just sixty seconds before her twin sister on February 12, 2007, Savanna proudly held the title of oldest among three siblings.
A natural athlete with a special passion for softball, Savanna brought determination and joy to everything she did. She was a recent high school graduate from Mother of Divine Grace, where she deepened her faith and drew God closer into her life.
Savanna carried a profound love for all animals and a quiet reverence for nature. She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, caring for creatures big and small. She enjoyed greeting crows in the morning , cherished time outdoors, and even hoped to one day own land to live self-sufficiently. Her beloved parakeet, Pickle—her pride and joy—was spoiled endlessly. They shared lunches, learned tricks together, and formed a bond as unique as she was.
Though small in stature at just under 5’2”, Savanna was truly tiny but mighty. Her presence filled every room, and her beautiful soul shone brightly through her sky-blue eyes. Creatively gifted, she expressed her heart through music, art, and the many poems she wrote to capture her feelings and experiences.
Savanna’s love for her family was immeasurable. She never stopped trying to make others happy and was always doing something kind for someone else. Her legendary hugs were available 24 hours / 7 days a week; a comfort she offered freely and without hesitation. Selfless, gentle, strong, and never one to complain, Savanna carried a humble beauty she never fully recognized in herself.
She remains in our hearts as a reminder of strength, perseverance, compassion, and boundless love. Though we will mourn her endlessly, we find comfort in knowing she is with Jesus and one day, we will all be with her again.
Savanna leaves behind her loving mother, Kristen; her father, Doug; her brother, Tor; and her twin sister and other half, Cheyenne—along with countless others whose lives were blessed by her pure love.
