It is not the years in your life that count - it is the life in your years. - Abraham Lincoln
Sergey, our oldest son, who joined our Lord at only 19 years old when his whole life was still in front of him, had a very bright personality, was always trying something new and seeking new adventures. After moving to Houston from Russia he very soon became a true Texan and a true American. He was the only child in the family who could fluently speak 3 languages and was open to other cultures and traditions. He was one of God’s creatures who never judged anyone, always accepting people as they are and seeing only positivity in them. He was a big football fan and a player himself for 7 consecutive years while at School.
Sergey was an amazing friend, brother, and loving son. He had one of the kindest hearts and was always ready to assist. He wished there was a way he could help people without them even knowing.
He was a very hard worker with a goal to succeed in life. He always gave it his all in any job he performed. His colleagues witnessed that it was always a good day working with him because of his positive attitude and ability to keep people’s spirits up.
While at UNT (University of North Texas), he recently discovered a new passion for himself - the stock market. He would spend hours with his friends talking about this, trying to master new strategies. He believed in his bright future and in his special destiny, that he will now pursue in Heaven.
He was our star, hope, champion, and now our dear angel. He had a strong heart and mind and will never be forgotten.
Unfortunately, it is always the best that gets taken soon!
Preceded in death by Valentin (great-grandfather), Sergey is survived by Olga (mother), Cyrille (father), his siblings: Alexander, Dennis, and Melissa, as well as his grandparents Polina and Sergey and Galina, his great-grandmother.
