She was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on March 1, 1951. Sharon graduated from Bay High School in Panama City, Florida and received her degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She was married to Rusty Higgins on February 14, 2007. Sharon had a career as a Hospital Business Administrator and for the last twenty years she was a successful Real Estate Agent. She was a member of Tomball United Methodist Church and had a passion for her family. Sharon was an incredible mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. Anyone who met her instantly loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Rusty Higgins; her daughter and best friend, Danielle Detrick Dry; son-in-law, Jason Dry; brother, Philip Smith; sister-in-law, Noelle Smith; grandchildren, Carson Dry and Caitlin Dry; nephews, Mike Smith, Ken Smith and David Smith; and step-daughters, Christine Carter and Karen Higgins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21 at Tomball United Methodist Church. A gathering for friends and family will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 at Forest Park Funeral Home in The Woodlands.
