Sonia Jo Phillips of Shenandoah, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 23, 2026. She was proceeded in passing by her parents Richard and Joetta Marple and one brother Mark Marple. She is survived by her husband of over 41 years Dan Phillips, her daughter Tessa Guant and her husband Raymond Gaunt of McDonald, PA, her daughter Toni Fikes and her husband Trent Fikes of The Woodlands, TX and one son Danny Phillips of Maricopa, AZ. In addition to her children, she also survived by five grandchildren, Chloe Gaunt, Dalton Gaunt, Dylan Gaunt, Peyton Fikes and Evelynn Fikes.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother she was a caregiver to many over her long nursing career which spanned across 5 states and included the emergency room, hospice and school nursing. She loved to travel the world and play golf with her friends but more importantly loved her family.
Services will be held at 1 pm on August 30, 2026 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
