

He was born in Van, Texas on February 4, 1954.
Mark graduated from Andrews High School and received a Bachelor’s in Business, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, a Master’s in Business, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Texas and a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee School of Law.
Mark’s primary career was in computer programming, working for Philadelphia Life and Houston Lighting & Power. Later in life, he tutored students preparing to take the SAT and LSAT. Most recently, he was preparing to manage a Mathnasium campus.
He was a member of MENSA, had a passion for karate, earning a black belt, reading science fiction, watching movies, rollerblading and exploring nature and caves. He loved his daughters and took great delight in spending time with his grandchildren. He was always ready with a joke and a smile.
He was survived by his daughters, Sara Guillote, Diana Beaver, and Holly Waldon and his grandchildren, Travis Beaver, Payson Guillote, Grace Guillote, Grant Guillote, Connor Waldon, Charlotte Waldon and Shane Waldon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murraye Joyce, Sr. and Tommie Joyce and his brothers, Murraye Joyce, Jr. and Tommy Joyce.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home Chapel, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
