He graduated from Sam Houston State University with both his undergrad degree and MBA. While there he was Vice President of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
After graduating from college, Steve started multiple businesses in the auto & finance industry, including Woodlake Motors which he started in 1982.
While always a very hard worker, and passionate about his business and team members, Steve was passionate about many other things.
Growing up, Steve was a Golden Gloves champion and loved the sport of boxing. He maintained that passion throughout his life and was an avid fan of boxing and UFC. Steve also loved to watch college football and to give his son Brandon a hard time for being an Aggie.
Steve loved to go skiing, and loved going fishing, both deep sea and in the bay.
Steve will always be remembered for being someone that sacrificed much for his family and for being someone that was an extremely generous giver. He did so much for so many and absolutely hated for people to know about it. He was hard working, diligent, generous, and was always willing to do much to help others.
