Susan Edgar

Susan, daughter of Ralph and Margret Sundby, was born in Lubbock, Texas, Sept. 2,1949, and raised in Abilene, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University where she met her husband of 41 years, Rox Edgar. She graduated with a B.S in Education from the University of Texas, Austin, and taught in cities such as

Austin, Corpus Christi, Spring Branch, Fulshear and Conroe. Her years in public education were mostly in Elementary Physical Education.

Susan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. After receiving a kidney transplant in 2006, she retired and became active in her community volunteering at Assisted Living Centers with her therapy pet dog, a chocolate Lab named Aggie. She also enjoyed time shopping, traveling, eating with friends and spending time with her two grandchildren, Mason Edgar and Olivia Robinson, both 4 years old. Susan and Rox spent a lot of family time at their ranch, 4E, in Lampasas,Texas.

Susan is survived by husband, Rox Edgar of Conroe; daughter and husband, Darcy and Arin Robinson of Austin; son and wife, Joe and Brandy Edgar of Conroe; brother and wife, Steve and Bonnie Sundby of Boerne; sister-in-law and mother-in-law, Nancy and Dorothy Edgar of Austin; niece and husband, Nicole and Phillip Jackson of San Antonio; nephew and wife, Adam and Sarah Lewis of Georgia; nephews, Sean and Eric Sundby of Dallas and Oklahoma; cousins, Ron Barnett of Lubbock, Rusty Barnett of Denton and Joanna Gibson of College Station.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 9, 2016, in the chapel at Forest Park the Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. Immediately following the service, please join the family in the adjacent event room for a Celebration of Life.
