She graduated from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's of Science degree. Susan went on the meet the love of her life and married David L. Stauss on July 5, 1975, a union that lasted forty-nine years.
Susan had a career in teaching computer science for Aldine ISD. She had a passion for history and reading.
Susan was preceded in death by her father and mother Walter Matlack (Mary A.).
Susan is survived by her husband, David L. Stauss; her daughters Meredith Weaver, Vivian Wise; her brother Russell Matlack and her sister Carol Oelker; her grandchildren Wimberly Weaver, Presley Weaver, along with a host of other relatives and friend.
