Sylvia Ann Robles

Surrounded by her loving family, she was absent from the body and at home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sylvia was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a cherished sister, cousin, aunt, and daughter. Her family and faith were the foundation of her life, and throughout every joy and every trial, her compassion, perseverance, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her.

Sylvia was tenacious in the workforce. During the 1990s, as Vice President of Operations for Texas Beauty Distributors, she played a pivotal role in guiding the company through a period of remarkable growth, helping expand its reach and strengthen its presence within Texas’s professional beauty industry. She later continued that same unwavering commitment during her more than 20-year tenure with Veritiv, where her work ethic, loyalty, and teamwork were deeply valued by her coworkers. Her warm laugh will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

Above all else, Sylvia valued relationships. She believed that success was measured not only by accomplishments, but by the friendships, trust, and lasting connections built along the way.

Sylvia will be remembered for her unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and never missed an opportunity to attend the many events and activities of her beloved grandchildren. Watching the Hallmark Channel, enjoying a hot cup of coffee, reading her daily devotionals, and listening to Christian music (KSBJ) were simple pleasures that reflected so much of who she was. A woman of deep and Abiding faith, Sylvia found great joy in worship, spending time at church, and watching films that celebrated the life and teachings of Jesus. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that continues to live on.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Consuelo and Raymond Abbate; her brother, David Abbate; her stepbrothers, Wilfred, Fred, and Dario Hernandez and her daughter, Julie Contreras.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Robles II and wife, Hannah Lee, her son, David Robles, her sister Becky Cordoba and husband, Anthony, her brother, Henry Abbate; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Cox and her husband, Kenneth, and Diane Alvarado and her husband, Roland; her brothers-in-law, Lee Robles II and his wife, Chayo, and Samuel Robles; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

We rejoice that mom is no longer in pain or suffering, the Lord our heavenly father has heard her prayers and has taken her home.

We joyfully invite Family and friends to come celebrate Sylvia’s life on Saturday, August 8, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in The Woodlands, TX. A catered reception will be held immediately following the service in their reception hall. The service will also be live streamed for family and friends who are unable to attend in person.
