Thor Andreas Haarseth

He was born in Oslo, Norway on August 30, 1972.

He proudly served in The Royal Norwegian Navy from 1995 to 1998 with the rank of 1st Engineer.

Thor graduated from Hellerud Vgs in Oslo, Norway and received his BSc. in Material Science from Trondheim Ingeniørhøgskole, Trondheim, Norway.

He was married to Cecilie A. Haarseth on Nov 18, 1995.

Thor worked in Offshore Marine Services with Dynamic Positioning and Marine Risk Management for Global Maritime, Haarseth DP & Marine services, Baker Marine Solutions, and BP.

He was a member of Marine Technology Society, and had a passion for Dogs, Hunting, life outdoors, and spending time at the cabin.

He was preceded in death by His Father; Nils Reidar Haarseth and mother in law; Alice Alveid.

He is survived by his wife; Cecilie A. Haarseth, mother; Kari A. Haarseth and sons; Eirik A Haarseth (Kathrine) and Magnus A. Haarseth. His brother; Øyvind Haarseth (Elisabeth Natås) and their sons Aleksander and Nikolai. Father in law; Bjørn Alveid (Vigdis). Brothers in law; Harald Alveid (Grethe), and their daughters Ada and Thea. Christoffer Alveid Madsbakken (Renate) and children Liv-Anne Mie and Amund.

A memorial service will take place at Norwegian Seamen's Church of Houston, 12211 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77024, on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM with a catered reception to immediately follow.
