

Thomas (Tom) Chesser, 63, of Conroe, TX passed away, January 28, 2011 in St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, from complications of kidney failure. He was born November 19, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Katherine Chesser; daughters Tiffani Chesser; Joy Chesser and her husband Luis Pequeno; granddaughters Leia and Lexi Warner. He is also survived by his mother in – law Lillian Mize; brother- in – law and sister – in – law Wayne and Dawn Mize; brother – in – law and sister – in – law Chuck and Gail Stratz. Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great – nieces, and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his son Thomas Matthew Chesser; parents Buford and Louise Chesser.
Tom graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Marketing. He began his career with Fox Photo where Tom’s love for photography bloomed. Photography continued to be one of Tom’s many passions throughout his life. Tom became an account manager with Proctor and Gamble where he worked until his retirement in 2007 after 30 years of dedication and service.
Tom had immeasurable love for his children, grandchildren, and wife. His interests included spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, grilling, entertaining family and friends, fishing, hunting, golfing, photography, camping, and being in involved in his church community. He was a friend and positive force to many. After being diagnosed with congestive heart failure, Tom became involved with Mended Hearts and The Heart Exchange. He walked many heartwalks to raise money to fight cardio vascular disease. Tom was always positive, helpful, and caring.
A memorial service is to be conducted at 2:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 2nd of February, at The Woodlands Presbyterian Church at 4881 West Panther Creek. Prior to the service, the family will gather for a private interment at Forest Park Cemetery in The Woodlands.
We do ask that instead of flowers people make donations to Mended Hearts.
Mended Hearts is a nonprofit patient support organization that offers compassion, hope and encouragement to heart patients, thier families and caregivers. It provides educational information, individual and group support to recovering patients and their families.
The Tommy Chesser Fund is a fund that will be set in place to help heart patients and their families with any needs they may have, like paying for parking or a hotel if needed in the medical center.
