She graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Accounting, then completing her CPA degree. Tonya went on to work as the CPA- Controller for Klein ISD. Tonya retired from Klein ISD in 2017 to pursue her favorite position as a Stay at Home Mom where she was able to volunteer and be there to support her beloved children in every aspect of their everyday lives. A job that she continued to her last day.
Tonya married Jason Little on May 15, 2004 and spent nearly 19 wonderful years together. They successfully joined as a blended family with 3 Children, Then adding two of theirs together to complete what Tonya referred to on many occasions as "The life she always wanted". Above all else, Tonya enjoyed just about anything in life where her Husband and Children were involved. Including numerous camping trips family cruises, or just simply hanging out at the house in her comfy clothes with the ones she loved.
In 2008, on somewhat of a routine checkup procedure, we were given the heart wrenching diagnosis of stage 3C Ovarian Cancer with a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years. The first words from Tonya's mouth after waking up from the procedure and hearing the news was "I will do whatever it takes, I have to stay alive for my kids". The very next words were from her husband Jason, who made it completely clear in these words, "Babe, YOU do not have Cancer.......WE have Cancer". WE are going to fight this thing TOGETHER".
So that's what they did......they fought it....side by side....and thru many surgeries, every type of treatment, great doctors and God's Gracious Hands, fought in all of their might for 14 more years of life. The 14 years do not seem like a long time, as you always want more. However, the way Tonya Little lived and Loved everyone she touched, was more than one could usually claim in an entire full lifetime. Her Smile, Her Laugh, and genuine care for others will be missed by so many but know that she is in a better place, without sickness nor pain, with the most glorious new wings that God had to give. She earned them in every way possible.
Tonya is survived by her Husband, Jason Little, Parents, Charles & Rona Milam. Brother & His Wife, Chris & Heather Milam. Children, Sami & Matt Simons. Josh & Katie Little, Cori Little, Jace Little, and Jamie Little.
