Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, raised in Shepherd, Texas, and graduated from Splendora High School, Tracy was known for her kind heart, genuine spirit, and the way she made people feel loved. From an early age, she had a warmth that drew people in. She never wanted bad for anyone and always tried to see the good in people. More than anything, Tracy wanted those around her to be happy, cared for, and able to enjoy life.
Tracy met the love of her life, Wayne Wilson, when they were children. What began as a childhood friendship grew into a love story that lasted more than three decades. They married shortly after high school and built a life filled with devotion, laughter, family, and lasting memories. Through Wayne’s 21 years of military service, Tracy stood by his side with love, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Tracy’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She poured her heart into the people she loved, especially her husband, children, grandchildren, and dad. She supported her children with unconditional love, encouragement, and understanding. Ashley will always remember the way her mother dedicated herself to driving her back and forth from Houston to Dallas for cheer practices, spending weekends in hotels, and making sure she had everything she needed for cheer competitions. Bryan remembered his mother as his peace. She guided him, supported him no matter what, and made life feel worth the hard efforts. In a world that can be difficult and heavy, Tracy had a way of bringing comfort, understanding, and calm. She could see things from more than one perspective and help people meet in the middle with love and common ground. She always wanted everyone to be happy, to feel loved, and to enjoy life for what it was.
She had a gift for making a house feel like home. Tracy loved decorating, entertaining, celebrating holidays, and bringing people together for special moments. She helped create her family’s dream home, a place filled with love, laughter, and memories. She had her own sense of style, loved beautiful things, and especially enjoyed shopping at Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
Those who knew Tracy will remember her as loving, giving, supportive, and deeply understanding. She was a peaceful guide for her family, someone who could listen, bring people together. She had a rare way of making people feel seen. Wayne remembered that Tracy could sit beside a complete stranger on a flight, get them to open up, exchange phone numbers, and leave with a new friend. That was who she was: open-hearted, sincere, and easy to love.
Even after her passing, Tracy continued to give to others. Through the gift of eye donation, she helped improve the eyesight of four people, including two with glaucoma and two with cataracts. Her generosity and compassion will continue to touch lives beyond her own.
Tracy leaves behind her loving husband, Wayne Wilson; her daughter, Ashley Wilson; her son, Bryan Wilson and spouse Keili-Sue; her grandchildren, Paisleigh, Kaylee Jo, and Logan; her father, Jeff Linneweber; her brother, Josh Linneweber and spouse Chrystal; her mother-in-law, Barbara Wilson; her sister-in-law, Christel Green and spouse, Shane; her brother in law, Chip Wilson; her brother in law, Ronnie Riley and spouse Sarah; her mother, Lori Pennington; along with extended family and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by her love; and her beloved Pomeranian, Bear Wilson.
Though her absence leaves an unimaginable void, Tracy’s legacy of kindness, generosity, support, and unconditional love will live on in everyone who was blessed to know her.
You were loved more than you could ever know.
Tracy loved flowers, and the family also welcomes prayers, love, and support during this time.
