Veronica Monique Herndon
Veronica Monique Herndon was a woman with an open heart, generous spirit, and a natural gift for making the people around her feel loved. She gave freely of herself; not because she was asked, but because caring for others was simply a part of who she was. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the memories she created, and the many lives she touched along the way.
Born on August 3, 1976, Veronica attended Westfield High School before continuing her education at Sam Houston State University and North Harris Community College. She devoted more than two decades of her professional life to DeMontrond Automotive Group. Throughout her career, Veronica was known for her warmth, loyalty, and genuine care for the people she encountered. The relationships she built were a reflection of the person she was; kind, dependable, and sincere.
Above all else, Veronica treasured her family and friends. She had a deep and abiding love for her husband, George, in whom she found a lifelong companion. She had a particularly special place in her heart for her beloved nephews and niece, Noah, Solomon, and Eden, who lovingly and affectionately called her “RoRo.” She truly cherished every moment spent with them, and the laughter, love, and memories they shared will forever remain a treasured part of their lives.
Veronica had a deep appreciation for music and dance. She loved the energy of live performances and enjoyed traveling, sometimes leaving town simply to experience a concert and hear the music she loved. She understood the importance of making memories, enjoying life, and embracing the moments that brought her joy.
Veronica was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Louis and Herretta Herndon; her grandparents, Arvine and Flora Dean Herndon, and Willie and Hattie Flowers; uncles, Wilbert Flowers and Waymond Herndon; and aunt, Jarvis Times.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her beloved husband, George Hobbs; son, Hansen Hobbs; daughter-in-law, Kenzie Hobbs; sisters, Ursula Herndon and Erica Lowery; brother-in-law, Jamel Lowery; nephews, Noah Lowery and Solomon Lowery; niece, Eden Lowery; grandson, Clay Hobbs and her beloved dog, Cookie. She also leaves behind several extended family members, countless friends, and other loved ones whose lives were made richer simply by knowing her.
Veronica’s life was a gift to those who knew and loved her. Her generosity, loyalty, warmth, and ability to create meaningful memories will not be forgotten. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave remains in the hearts of her family, in the memories of her friends, and in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished as a devoted wife, beloved sister, treasured aunt and grandmother, loyal friend, music and dance enthusiast, and the one and only “RoRo.”
