Virginia is survived by her husband, Dr. Cayetano Apostol; her two sons, Cayetano (spouse Janel) and Melecio (spouse Roselyn); two sisters, Nita Puzon and Yet Alonzo; five grandchildren and many very close nieces and nephews.
Virginia was born in the Philippines on September 16, 1938 to Melecio and Marcelina Fortuno. She graduated from medical school and in 1968, she married Cayetano. Subsequently, Virginia and her husband raised her two sons and established a medical clinic in the town of Port Lavaca, Texas. Once retired, they moved to Spring, Texas and also spent time in their residence in the Philippines.
Virginia enjoyed traveling, sports, and spending time with her family. She was a strong soul that touched many with her love and outgoing spirit. Her smile, laughter, and voice will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. A reception will follow the service at the same location.
