I didn't know Mr. Wayland for long but he truthfully had an impact on my life. He was always smiling and in a good mood every time I saw him. I can honestly say he will truly be missed. Him as well as his family will always be in my prayers.

My heart is broken to learn of Wayland's passing. It's hard to say how much I loved working with Wayland at Church's Chicken. He was one of the best employees I ever had. He cared so deeply about the people he worked with and always gave 100% to everything he put his hand to. His love for his family was inspirational. He talked about Rhonda, his kids and grand kids all the time and was proud of each and every one of them. I am a better person today because I had the privilege to know Wayland. Wayland always thanked me for 'taking a chance on him' and hiring him at Church's. It was probably the best hiring decision I ever made. I will miss you Wayland and hearing your great laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with Rhonda and the family. God bless you all, Robin Willis

Rhonda and family. I just learned of Wayland's untimely passing. Even though we disagreed at times regarding spiritual matters, that never got in the way of our friendship. May God's grace give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Blessings Richard Schmidt

Wayland worked in Frank's counseling office at Sam Houston high school. He remembers him as a fun loving, sweet, energetic young man. He was always personable and friendly. He and his mother came to Bryan when our son was born and brought a gift. I prepared lunch for them. We were there in graduate school. Had we known he was buried in Huntsville, we would have been there. We live in Trinity.

Rhonda
I have just heard the tragic news. I am so sorry for your loss. Wayland was a great guy to work with. At Weatherford SLS Training Department, I was initially his boss and then he became my boss, but we always maintained a great relationship and he even came to our home when in Singapore. He was a true people person and his passing in such tragic circumstances is unbelievable.
Please accept mine and my wife's sincere condolences. He will be missed
