

William (Bill) Eldgridge Ingram III, 78, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 25, 1945, Bill's journey through life was marked by achievement, dedication, and a profound love for family.
Bill graduated from Florida Southern College in May 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He was an active member of the National Leadership Honors Society (Omicron Delta Kappa) and served as president of his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. Bill was an avid rower and captain of the crew team at Florida Southern. He married Yolanda Ingram (Yogi) on December 16, 1967.
After graduating, Bill served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army at the Presidio in San Francisco from 1967 to 1969. He continued his education at the University of Florida, earning a Master’s in Business Administration in 1970. Bill became a Certified Public Accountant in both Florida and Texas, and he built a successful career as an auditor and controller at Arthur Andersen and Chemical Waste Management, ultimately retiring as the CFO of DX Services in Houston.
Bill loved a good mystery novel and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bernice Ingram; sister Ruth Nickerson; and daughter Jocelyn Ingram.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Ingram; daughter Stacy Ingram; daughter Erin Land and her husband, Travis Land; and son Bill Ingram and his wife Erin Ingram. His grandchildren Lily, Vivian, Levi, Henry, Elle and Davis.
No public service will be held. The family will be having a private dinner at a later date to celebrate his life.
