Yvonne Racine Potter Ammons, age 75, passed away on June 18, 2017 in Spring, Texas. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on July 15, 1941 and lived in several states. She is survived by her children Mark Potter (Cathy), DeLynn Potter (Amy), and DeLane Potter; step-children Brenda Koonce (Bill), Cindy Higgins (George), Rhonda Sproles (Tommy), Robert Ammons (Wendy) and Rachel Clark (Lester); her grandchildren Kimberly Martin, Stephanie Potter, Hope Apostolo, Crystal Carranza, David Potter and Nathan Bender; step-grand children Wesley, Alex, Grant and Chandler Higgins; Trina and Jennifer Linn; Alyssa Koonce; Jonivon, Savanna and Heather Ammons; Tommy Sproles, Nikki and Jessica Ammons;and Christopher, Halayna and Laken Clark, as well as several great grandchildren.
She was the youngest daughter of eight children and is survived by her brother Thalmas Racine and sisters Opal Jones and Juanita "Nita" Thordsen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lena Bee Racine, her husbands Marvin Potter, Sr. and Earl Ammons, her son Marvin Potter, Jr., step-son Anthony "Tony" Ammons, daughter Kimberly Potter and siblings Gene Racine, Audie Hale, Vera Antee, and Edwin "Joe" Racine.
She loved spending time with her many friends and family, listening to music, collecting jewelry, antique dolls, and feeding the many humming birds that came to her home.
