Zachary “Zack” Parrish was called home on May 6, 2025, at the age of 44, to continue his eternal journey and reunite with his son, Justice. He lived with one ultimate purpose: to do God’s will and return home. That sacred goal guided every choice he made and defined the life he lived.
Zack was born on June 28, 1980 in Dallas, Texas, to Bruce and Deborah Parrish. Even from an early age he stood for what is right and defended those around him. He served his country with honor as a veteran of the United States Army from 2000 to 2005 and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2001 he met his beautiful wife and eternal companion, Alicia. On December 20, 2003, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Frankfurt Germany Temple. They created a home grounded in faith, love, learning, and a commitment to following their Savior, Jesus Christ. Together they had five children: Haley, Alexis, Justice, Levi, and Brinley, and their family became Zack’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.
Professionally, Zack loved to call himself a “serial entrepreneur”. He had big ideas and never stopped creating. He loved being outside with his garden, baseball, reading, writing, and most importantly, spending time with his wife and children. Whether it was launching a new business, helping others realize their dreams, or exploring new interests, Zack’s confidence and zeal were contagious. He wasn’t just a goal-setter, but a goal-achiever; he had the ability to put in the hard work to make his dreams a reality.
Zack is a family man to his core. Nothing brought him more fulfillment than his role as husband and father. He had a gift for seeing the potential in others, and believed in them more than they believed in themselves. To know Zack was to be seen.
He is survived by his eternal companion, Alicia, and their children: Haley, Alexis, Levi, and Brinley; his parents, Bruce and Deborah Parrish; his siblings: Bruce Parrish, Justin Parrish, Ashlie Parrish-Plaskon and her husband, TJ Plaskon, and Harmony Thompson and her husband, Ben Thompson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends. All those who crossed paths with Zack were undoubtedly changed forever.
A visitation for Zachary will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10303 Branch Crossing Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77382, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
