Candace M Megna

(nee Kane) of Mequon, WI. Born to Eternal Life on Sunday December 9, 2012 at the age of 66. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 38 years Michael Megna, sister of Stephen (Linda Kolanko) Kane, aunt of Anne (Stephen) Schubert, Maria (Enzo) Scarano, Pamela (Mark) Megna, Austin (Megan) Kane, Michael (Chris) Megna, James (Cathy) Megna, sister-in-law of Vincent Megna, Joseph Megna and Jenny Megna. She is also survived by other relatives, many friends and her great friends Cynthia Baemer and Karen Fargo were able to be with Candy in her last days and it brought much comfort. MEMORIAL SERVICE 7 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 14, 2012. Committal Service 11 am on Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum West Chapel, 7301 W Nash St, Milwaukee, WI 53216.

Candace was born on November 28,1946 in Passaic,NJ to Austin and Frances Kane. She grew up in Park Forest, IL attending St. Agnes Grade School and Marian Catholic High School. In 1968 she moved to Milwaukee and started her working career, beginning at American Appraisal. She then moved onto become the administrative assistant to John Koss of the Koss Corporation. Candace and Michael were able to fulfill a dream of travel and found themselves going to Europe, Asia and South America. Realizing education was important, she graduated from Marquette University in 1991and took her knowledge and compassion to the State of Wisconsin, working 15 years for the Department of Corrections, retiring in 2005. Candace was a caring person with the art of being a good listener. She melded those skills and they became an intrinsic part of her being.
