

Of West Bend formerly of Mequon, WI. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend, passed away on Monday December 17, 2012 at the age of 66. He is the husband of Bonnie (nee Baerwald), father of Debra (Carl) Ward of Cedarburg, WI, Thomas (Jocelyn) Schultz of Brown Deer, WI and Jeremiah North of Port Washington, WI, grandfather of Angela (fiancé Jesse Huff), Jordan, Joey and Haley Ward, Griffin, Noah and Micah Schultz and Madison North, great-grandfather of Johnathan Huff, brother of Kevin (Diane) Schultz of Mequon, WI and Scott Schultz of Campbellsport, WI, brother-in-law of Sherry (Robert) Repnik of Cedarburg, WI and nephew of Jullane (Gary) Jackson of Cedarburg, WI. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Roen-Claire Spangenberg and step-father William Spangenberg; his siblings Thomas Schultz, Antoinette North and Michele Jawson and grandson Levi Richard Schultz.
Richard was an avid sportsman, fisherman and hunter who enjoyed these activities most with his children, grandchildren and best friend Gary. He also enjoyed taking the many trips to Disney World with his grandchildren. Born in Milwaukee, he met Bonnie, the love of his life and wife for 46 years, while attending Nicolet High School. Former owner of Rod’s & Walers Inc in Saukville, WI, lifetime member of the Saukville Gun Club and US Army Vietnam War Veteran where he earned the Purple Heart.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on
Saturday December 22, 2012 from 1-3 pm and
at a reception to be held after the rendering of Military Honors at 3 pm.
Richard will not be forgotten by those who loved him and especially those he raised. He led by example and his word was as good as a promise.
